New life into the ole girl!
You can't see it, but there is a newly delivered dumpster right underneath the door to nowhere. We removed the windows from the second and third floor and are trying to fill the sucker up.
The previous owner called one of his scrap metal guys to come take stuff away (like the metal rods sticking out of the ground all around the exterior of the parking lot!) for him. Greg spent all morning taking apart the full sized antenne in the middle of the third floor as well as two or three iron bed springs and stuff. I yelled down to the guys futzing around on the ground and told 'em to come up and scavenge and they did! All scrap metal, rusted stuff, antenna, are all gone! Excellent work on Greg's part to get that gargantuan task done!
If you look real close, you can see the cast iron bath tub from the second floor coming through the window. It was still hooked up, but caught up in a rather large hole in the floor. Our new friend Lester, the metal man, took a sawzall to it and got out all the old pipes to boot.
Lester yelled "TIMBER" before shoving the tub out the second story. It didn't like the fall too much and cracked up a bit. Lester, Greg and I were thrilled with today! Please notice the myriad chairs, an old ironing board, and bed springs in the background.
