In which we see what this place will be like when it's done

Wow is all I can say about how this is turning out.

This is the entrance to the apartment.  A really large mud room and closet outside the space will make for a far less crowded and open floor plan.  (more on that in another entry) 

 Another view of the entry way with the front door frame in the background.  Nice sunny stairway and mud room entrance.  

The boys finished putting up this beam and the support posts yesterday, made with LVL boards that we will case in rough cut boards to keep with the loft like theme. This section will be the kitchen in the foreground and back in that corner to left will be a first floor bedroom.  

How awesome is the first floor space??  The new posts are gorgeous and all the new beams are in, giving the space so much openness and light.  There are still two more windows to frame out.
